The Finance Committee is composed of the Clergy, staff of St. Martin’s and eight laypersons appointed by the Pastor and including the two Trustees. Its function is to assist the Pastor in all things monetary and to oversee the financial concerns of the Parish.

Meetings are held as often as deemed necessary (usually monthly) to discuss any issues that might affect the financial status of any assets of the Church. These could be matters concerning Parish staff, property, buildings or ministries and activities.

In addition, the annual budget is prepared by the Committee where it is submitted to the Diocese. Periodically the actual income and expenses compared to projections is reviewed. This action enables the Committee to practice sound financial management of the church’s finances.
