The Pastoral Care of the Sick Ministry provides Communion to the sick in a hospital, nursing home, or home bound.

Training/Skills:  Attend the Diocese training program which consists of two Saturdays for the home bound including 3 hours during this training for the hospital ministry at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Time Needed:  You would spend a half hour per week at the hospital, and 15-30 minutes per home bound visit.

Tasks/Responsibilities:  Provide a brief prayer service for the administration of Communion.  Please follow hospital rules when ministering there.

Length of Service:  No set time frame. Member’s discretion.

Meetings:  Periodic hospital meetings & occasional meetings with the Pastor.
